Thank you for your paitence. As of 9:33 am on 6/6/2016 THE BOIL NOTICE HAS BEEN LIFTED.

June 1, 2016

Lake Palo Pinto Area WSC Due to a line break that has caused reduced line pressure in the water system, the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality has required Lake Palo Pinto Area WSC / PWS# 1820069, to notify all customers to boil their water prior to consumption.

To ensure destruction of all harmful bacteria and other microbes, water for drinking, cooking, and ice making should be boiled and cooled prior to consumption. The water should be brought to a vigorous rolling boil and then boiled for two minutes. In lieu of boiling, you may purchase bottled water or obtain water from some other suitable source. When it is no longer necessary to boil the water, water officials will notify you.

If you have questions regarding this matter you may contact Lake Palo Pinto Area WSC at 940-769-3345 or Mark Griffin/Deb Stowe at 940-329-1411.

Causeway Line Break Update– June 2, 2016

The leak was located Wednesday night after flooding receded and was repaired early Thursday. Our water storage is back at normal capacity. Flushing of the repaired line is being done Thursday. When adequate flushing results in a satisfactory disinfection residual, the line will be opened. When bacteriological results of samples taken are returned and show the water to be safe, another update will be issued to rescind the boil water notice. We understand that it is an inconvenience, but it is with your safety in mind that we have issued the boil water notice and recommend that you follow it until the next update.
